This annual giving program continues with the rich foundation brought forward through the past seven years of diocesan annual giving and stewardship campaigns created for congregations. This year, we’re modeling our own teaching and shifting themes to find new and exciting ways to engage parishioners.
The theme is taken from Matthew 25:35, “for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” While we have always taught congregations the importance of storytelling as a tangible way to talk about ministries within their community – this theme offers the opportunity to explicitly focus on ways in which congregations have fed the hungry and helped the stranger.
