Celebrating What’s Growing
This page will be the evolving home for stories and reflections from across the Pathways to Prayer & Practice initiative. As congregations explore new ways to welcome children in worship, we want to highlight moments of discovery, challenge, creativity, and joy.
Stories may come from:
- Churches participating in current or future Pathways cohorts
- Families finding new ways to engage faith at home
- Clergy and lay leaders experimenting with worship practices
- Diocesan events and gatherings that lift up intergenerational formation
These stories will help others learn, feel connected, and be inspired. They can be short reflections, photo essays, videos, or interviews, whatever brings the work to life.

Lilly Grants Will Support Children’s Formation
Seven entities of the Episcopal Church have recently received a multimillion-dollar infusion of funding to help them better engage their youngest members in worship.

The Episcopal Diocese of Virginia has received a $1,248,768 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish the Pathways to Prayer and Practice Initiative.
