Register Now for 2026 Shrine Mont Summer Camps

by | Nov 6, 2025

For 60 years, young people have flocked to Shrine Mont for summer camp. To lock down a spot for next year, register now.

Choose from 15 camp sessions of varying lengths and themes. All children ages 7 to 17 are welcome, with all identities and backgrounds. There is also a camp for families who choose to enjoy Shrine Mont together.

“For summer 2026, camps are similar in duration, but more will open or close on a weekend to help parents make the trip to the mountain,” said Shrine Mont Camps Director Greg Randall. “All of the camps’ directors are returning from 2025 and many of our staff, but we’re also excited to see some new faces!”

Registration opened on the website on Nov.1.  Financial assistance is available through a form on the registration page.

Shrine Mont Camps are Episcopal summer programs located in Orkney Springs. Campers explore the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains and engage in fun activities in Christian community. The mission is to provide life-enriching experiences for all to sense God’s love and creation.

“I was able to see Christianity in action and I am reaping the benefits as my daughter one week later is still talking about camp,” a parent of a 2025 summer camper said.

“You all have blessed not only my daughter, but my entire family with her experience and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You and your staff are changing the world one person at a time, and I am so grateful and thank you so much for this experience.”

The camps take place at Shrine Mont, home to the beloved outdoor cathedral of the Diocese of Virginia, the Shrine of the Transfiguration.

To help educate and inspire young people and families to experience the life-changing impact of camp, Shrine Mont Camps offers free printables in English and Spanish. These can be used in newsletters, emails, or social media to spread the word about camp.
