Virginia Episcopal Real Estate Partners (VEREP) has received a Mission Real Estate Development Grant of $225,000 from Trinity Church, a Parish in the city of New York. This grant program supports feasibility studies for construction or business projects suited to local markets that will generate income to support ministry. VEREP has been awarded this grant to assist congregations that wish to explore ways to build sustainable financial capacity and enhance their community impact through the creative use of their physical property and real estate assets.
“We look forward to sharing new models and tools for stewardship of underutilized church land and properties,” said Nina Janopaul, President of VEREP. “Look for more information on our webpage.”
Congregations that participate will be shepherded through this discernment and planning process by VEREP. This will include a period of guided discernment, a high-level property analysis, and pre-development support such as appraisals, legal advice, site surveys, and market and economic feasibility studies. Congregations interested in learning more can contact VEREP@episcopalvirginia.org.
