Shrine Mont Camps Sunday is an opportunity to lift up our camp ministry in prayer and celebrate the life-changing moments that happen there each summer. On Shrine Mont Camps Sunday, we invite every congregation to lift up our program during worship. Here are some ways to celebrate:
- Designate loose plate offering to camp scholarship opportunities.
- Use some of the Shrine Mont Camps Sunday liturgical resources in your service.
- Invite camp alumni to preach, offer a reflection, or share their camp experience during coffee hour.
Camp Registration Now Open
The camping ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia has been gathering young people for camp at Shrine Mont for over 60 years. Shrine Mont Camps is the overarching name for a collection of individual camp programs, each one distinguished by unique names, focus activities, and different age groups.
In 2025, Shrine Mont Camps is excited to offer eight camps. We hope you’ll come to camp this summer!
Hiring Summer Staff
Shrine Mont Camps is now hiring camp staff for summer 2025, and there’s never been a better time to work at camp! In just a few, action packed weeks, summer camp staff will make life-long memories and friendships while acquiring essential life and professional skills; communication, leadership, empathy, teamwork, problem solving, listening, and resiliency top the list. God has blessed all of us with unique and powerful gifts. We hope you’ll consider sharing your gifts with the campers and Shrine Mont Camps community this summer.
