Certificates of Election for delegates to the 2026 Annual Convention DUE April 15, 2026

by | Jan 28, 2026

What is a Certificate of Election of Lay Delegates/Alternates, and why are they needed?

A Certificate of Election is the form each church submits to the Secretary of the Diocese to let us know the name(s) of your lay delegates(s) and alternate(s) to Annual Convention. This form is required for your delegate to have voice and vote.

Why is the deadline so early?

We realize you need to plan for your vestry or vestry committee to elect your lay delegates, so we are letting you know now about the upcoming deadline. Also, the April 15 deadline allows us to know the pool of potential candidates for Committees of Convention. We want to involve delegates in meaningful ways to enhance their Convention experience!

When are certificates due for youth and collegiate delegates?

The due date for submitting the Certificate of Election of Youth Delegate and Alternate is also April 15, 2026.

The due date for submitting the Collegiate Delegate and Alternate Form is May 15, 2026.
