Yoga at Shrine Mont is very notable this year. Shrine Mont is 100 years old and everything planned this year is extra special. The Simply Yoga Retreat marks its 9th year and each retreat held at Shrine Mont has been different and awesome because we always have wonderful people who attend. Shrine Mont offers hiking and space for contemplative strolls, a labyrinth, pure mineral spring water, and nourishing and delicious, homestyle southern meals. Chefs are also able to accommodate vegetarians and gluten free diets.
Here is your opportunity to experience two of life’s great joys. Shrine Mont will be hosting a pickleball workshop from May 16 to May 18. If you have never played pickleball or are new to the game, this workshop will go over the rules, basic drills, some strategy and lots of playing time.
For the first time, the diocese will host two events for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to come together for formation, fellowship, and fun! Details and registration information are coming soon. Our diocesan theme for children’s and youth events is “Love One Another,” and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade days will focus on learning about and deepening our engagement with Communion.

This popular event has been in existence for more than 140 years and continues to be a much anticipated tradition on the beautiful Northern Neck of Virginia. For the past number of years the Festival has drawn more than 5,000 people!
Nancy Ross Hugo, David Pippin and Kate Vernon will demonstrate a variety of arranging techniques. Attendees will participate in activities that take the angst out of arranging and showcase techniques that make the process both easier and more fun. Emphasis will be on using local, readily available flowers, greens, and line material.
Drawing from her rich pastoral and personal experience, Bishop Susan Goff will lead us through a time of prayer, worship, and reflection, focusing on the intersection between Hope and Lamentation, Hope and Intercession, and Hope and Praise.
Based in NYC, the trio consists of three fabulous musicians, Amy Schroeder, violinist of the GRAMMY award winning Attacca Quartet; Felix Umansky, cellist of the GRAMMY award winning Harlem Quartet; and international pianist, Yalin Chi.
Come explore the natural world through painting with award-winning artist and teacher Theodora Tilton. Choosing oil or watercolor, you’ll join students at all levels painting “en plein aire” in the beautiful mountains surrounding historic Shrine Mont. Students will start with the basics and work through the process of creating a painting with each day taking you to a new location.
