By the Grace of God and Consent of the People, St. James's Episcopal Church invites you to share in a Holy Beginning as we celebrate the Renewal of Our Shared Ministry and welcome The Rev. Beth Franklin as our 15th Rector.
God willing, the Rt. Rev'd Gayle Elizabeth Harris, Assistant Bishop of Virginia, will ordain Jackson Davey, Bart Natoli and Ted Renaud to the Sacred Order of Priests on Saturday, February 7th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Richmond, Virginia.
This is an opportunity to learn about and teach about Migration with Dignity principles which address the challenges of global migration in a new way while aligning with the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international laws and agreements.
Participants will gain insights into the consequences of these racial covenants including access to safe, equitable housing and obstruction of generational wealth for marginalized populations today and how systemic displacement and public housing concentration targeted African-American neighborhoods whose residents responded with resilience, agency and advocacy.
The Rt. Rev’d Gayle E. Harris, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Virginia, will preside and preach. Bishop Harris, Canon Ricardo Sheppard, and the Very Rev. Janettarose Greene will serve as co-celebrants.
On the last Sunday of Epiphany, February 15, 2026, join others around the Episcopal Church to celebrate Global Mission. Contact us for prayers or a litany for global mission or to brainstorm ways to lift up our partnerships and friends around the Anglican Communion.

Our community will be offering a full course dinner before the Richmond Forum events in 2026. Sylvia May, a parishioner, choir member, and chef, along with Father Brent have planned this community building idea for utilizing our proximity to Altria Theatre.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Joseph Constant, founder of Haiti Micah Project. The sermon, Faith in Action: Witness for Haiti will be given by the Rev. Canon Chuck Robertson, Senior Advisor to the Presiding Bishop and envoy to Haiti.
Gather in the Parish Hall for fellowship at 9am. Reflection by Rev. Price between 10 and 11 am. Eucharist from 11 am until noon followed by lunch and reflection opportunities with the Rev. Sarah Kye Price, PhD.
