Celebration of the Holy Eucharist Commemorating the Rt. Rev. Barbara C. Harris and the Rev. Absalom Jones

The Diocese of Virginia invites you to a Celebration of the Holy Eucharist commemorating the consecration of the Right Reverend Barbara Clementine Harris, the first woman Bishop in the Anglican Communion, and celebrating the life and witness of the Reverend Absalom Jones, the first African American priest in The Episcopal Church. At the service, Bishop Gayle Harris will preach and Bishop E. Mark Stevenson will preside. A reception will follow the service in the Ruth E. Little Parish Hall. Limited street parking is available, as well as the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot on W. Essex Street.
