Choral Eucharist for the Feast of the Transfiguration
This year, as St. Paul’s, Ivy celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration, we also begin a beautiful new musical tradition: observing select Prayer Book feast days on their proper dates with a choral Eucharist sung by the Schola Cantorum. The liturgy will follow the familiar pattern of our Sunday morning worship while featuring choral settings of the traditional service music, offering a rich and beautiful expression of our worship through music.
We are also delighted to welcome acclaimed guest organist Robert McCormick, who will join Director of Music Ministries Gabriel Simerson and the Schola Cantorum. Featuring Herbert Howells’ Collegium Regale and Lucy Walker’s O nata lux, this promises to be an inspiring evening of worship as we celebrate Christ’s glory revealed in the Transfiguration.
Following this service, please join us in Neve Hall for a reception.
