All Saints Choir Camp
All Saints Choir Camp is a week of singing, musicianship, friendship, faith, and fun for children entering 2nd grade and up. Younger readers are welcome, too.
This year introduces a new Beginner Choir Track, designed especially for younger and first-time singers. No prior musical experience is required, just a willingness to learn and sing. More experienced singers will enjoy challenging choral repertoire, musicianship classes, and ensemble singing throughout the week.
Guest clinician Mike McCarthy, former Canon for Music at Washington National Cathedral, returns for the weekend. Mike has spent his career inspiring young singers. As founding director of the London Oratory School Schola, his choir was featured on the soundtracks of films including Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Sleepy Hollow.
Camp mornings are filled with rehearsals, music games, and musicianship activities. Afternoons feature adventures around Richmond, recreation, crafts, and time with new friends. The week concludes with a Sunday morning service at All Saints, where campers will be joined by adult members of All Saints Choir and sing much of the music learned during the week.
Whether your child already sings in a choir or is just discovering a love of music, All Saints Choir Camp is a joyful, encouraging place to grow as a musician, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.
