I’ve spent all but four years of my life in Orange, and I love the town. Betsy and I raised our three children there. But my roots–my real roots–are in Rapidan.
This November, representatives from 11 faith communities gathered at St. Andrew’s, Burke, for the 41st annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. The event was centered around the theme “Hearing One Another,” chosen by clergy who regularly meet to build interfaith relationships.
In January 2022, a nonprofit in New Kent that provided free diapers to low-income families closed its doors. Members of St. Peter’s, New Kent, felt strongly that this essential ministry needed to continue in their community.
In 2014, the Outreach Committee at Christ Church, Winchester, saw that children in their community were experiencing food scarcity. They began a program called Panda Pantry, which provided backpacks with food for elementary students to take home on weekends.
