Shrine Mont Camps Director Search
The search has been launched for the next director of Shrine Mont Camps. The position has been posted in 57 places, sent to the entire Diocese of Virginia email distribution list, and to 5,100 people in the Ministry Architects database network. Multiple applications have already been received and are under review. Friends of Shrine Mont Camps are encouraged to review the job posting and share it with qualified individuals who may feel called to this role.
September Design Summit
A Design Summit facilitated by Ministry Architects took place at Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond on September 16-17. The goal of this summit was to address key aspects of the camping ministry that are essential to the ongoing operations of Shrine Mont Camps. Workshop topics included:
- How are decisions made?
- Creating a strategic communication plan.
- Creating a program plan for summer 2025.
- Developing clear and effective financial systems.
Participants engaged in these important conversations included members of the search committee, advisory council, summer 2024 camp staff, diocesan senior leadership, school chaplains, parents, alumni, and Shrine Mont Inc. leadership.
