Current openings for Shrine Mont Camps (SMCs) include:
Director of St. Nicholas’ Camp. This talented and loving leader with experience in early childhood or elementary education will lead a day camp for children of staff and chaplains serving on the mountain. The Director of St. Nicholas’ Camp will oversee a small team of counselors to lead a group of children (approximate ages 3-12) in daily programming and activities at Shrine Mont. The number of children range, according to camps in session, from 3-8 children each day.
Directors’ own children are welcome in the SMCs beloved community and receive full benefits of serving at camp, including admission to St. Nicholas’ Camp, paid for by donations of generous friends of SMCs.
Camp Nurses. Every day at Shrine Mont Camps brings fun, formation…. and safety! If you are a registered nurse, school nurse, or nurse practitioner and would like to serve as a camp nurse for a session (or more) in 2026, please visit Shrine Mont Camps to apply!
Shrine Mont Camps prioritize camper health and safety by ensuring that a full-time camp nurse is available at each of its two infirmaries at all times during the summer. Infirmary Counselors assist camp nurses at campsites and overnight camping trips. In addition to a stipend, meals, and lodging, camp nurses’ own children receive tuition-free admission to a camp session. One day of training will be provided during Staff Training in June.
