WomanKind 2026
WomanKind has been a guiding light for women of all faiths since 2004. This two-day event is designed to inspire and equip women through dynamic workshop leaders and keynote speakers, exploring how faith informs their roles both in the church and the broader society. After a six-year hiatus, the conference returns April 24-25, 2026, with the vital theme: “One Body.”
The women of St. James’s Episcopal Church are thrilled to welcome Lisa Sharon Harper as this year’s keynote speaker. Ms. Harper is a prolific speaker, author, and activist who leads training globally, from Ferguson to New York, to organize people of faith towards a just world. As the founder and president of FreedomRoad.us, she is dedicated to designing experiences that bring understanding and action.
Ms. Harper is the author of several books, including the critically acclaimed “The Very Good Gospel: How Everything Wrong Can Be Made Right.” Her much-anticipated book, “Fortune: How Race Broke My Family And The World–And How To Repair It All,” is now available! Ms. Harper’s work focuses on shalom and governance, racial and gender justice, climate change, and transformative civic engagement. Join as Ms. Harper delves into what it means to be “One Body” and how we can pursue God’s intent for wholeness in all relationships. This conference is an ideal event for all women seeking to deepen their faith and amplify their impact.
Additional workshop offerings will span topics including Physical Wellness, Mental Health, Cross-cultural Connections, Community Care, Family & Caregiving, Interfaith Connection, and Maintaining Connection in a Polarized Culture.
