Shrine Mont Opens

On August 6, 1925, Bishop William Cabell Brown consecrated the Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration in Orkney Springs, VA as the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia and began the journey for what we now know and love as Shrine Mont.
In the coming months Shrine Mont will mark our centennial anniversary with several events in the diocese and at Shrine Mont with the culmination of the celebration of 100 years on August 6, 2025.
