Old-Growth Forest Network Welcomes Virginia Parish

Stacey Remick knew there was something special about the five-acre forest surrounding St. Peter’s in the Woods Episcopal Church in Fairfax Station, Virginia. She never dreamed that the church property would one day be inducted into the Old-Growth Forest Network, the only national network in the United States of protected, old-growth native forests.

Bishop Stevenson Ordains Two New Priests

On February 1, 2025, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia, hosted the ordination of the Rev. Rebecca Casey and the Rev. Caroline Mitchell to the Sacred Order of Priests in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. Bishop Mark Stevenson presided over the service, welcoming two women who had each followed a unique path to the priesthood.

A Statement on the Bishop of Liverpool

Earlier today, it was reported that the Right Reverend John Perumbalath resigned his position as Bishop of Liverpool (England). The Diocese of Virginia, along with the Diocese of Kumasi (Ghana), is blessed to be in a ministry partnership with the Diocese of Liverpool, and as such we readily add our prayers to those being offered by our friends and colleagues as we lift up all involved to the grace, peace, and mercy of the One who loves us all.

Diocesan Youth Retreats Return in 2025
