DESCRIPTION:Critical Race Theology: White Supremacy\, American Christianity\, and the Ongoing Culture Wars \nJuan Floyd-Thomas\, Associate Professor\, Vanderbilt Divinity School \nWe are called in our Baptismal Covenant to “strive for justice and peace among all people\, and respect the dignity of every human being.” Critical Race Theology examines how theological ideas have been used historically and systematically to justify racial hierarchy and uphold white supremacy.
