SUMMARY:Winter Solstice Concert
DESCRIPTION:Sanctuary\, the Compline Choir of St. Stephen’s Church in Richmond\, presents its annual concert for the winter solstice\, “A Celebration of Light.” The choir is led by interim conductor Jeffrey Riehl\, and will also feature Peter Greydanus\, cello\, and Andrew McAvoy\, guitar. \nThis candlelit concert offers respite and beauty in the midst of a busy season and features music and poetry for the longest night of the year as we anticipate the joy of light’s return. It will take place in the church. \nA reception follows in the fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the church parking lot and on the street. SUMMARY:St. George's Christmas Concert
DESCRIPTION:St. George’s Episcopal Church invites the community to a free Christmas concert on Sunday\, December 21\, 2025\, at 3:00 pm\, featuring the parish’s music ensembles. The concert will be held in the church’s historic nave\, located at 905 Princess Anne Street in downtown Fredericksburg. Come and celebrate the season with St. George’s organists\, choirs\, jazz band\, Celtic ensemble\, and more. All are welcome to join for a musical Christmas feast guaranteed to make all merry and bright. \nKnown for its lush acoustics and welcoming atmosphere\, St. George’s offers a year-round concert series showcasing both local and nationally recognized artists. This performance promises an afternoon of “beautiful music in a beautiful space\,” continuing the church’s tradition of musical excellence.
